About the Speaker
Naba Krishna Das, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, National Cancer Institute (NIH)
Dr. Das completed his BS and MS in Chemistry at SUST, followed by an MS at Mississippi State University and a PhD at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His doctoral research on RNA viruses was published in leading journals, including Nature Methods, Nature Communications, PNAS, and Nucleic Acids Research, contributing to over $3M in grant funding.
He is currently working in the Ping Zhang Lab at the NCI, focusing on structural biology and mechanistic studies related to Parkinson’s disease and cancer signaling pathways. Dr. Das has successfully navigated the full U.S. immigration process, from F-1 and J-1 visas to permanent residency, making him uniquely positioned to guide students and early-career researchers.
